Volleyballers have a busy year ahead


The year 2014 will be a busy one for the national volleyball teams as they will take part in tournaments organised all year round.

HA NOI (VNS) — The year 2014 will be a busy one for the national volleyball teams as they will take part in tournaments organised all year round.

Their first event will be the Asian Volleyball Club Championships to be held from April 8 to 16 in the Philippines. The women's competition will be held from April 17 to 25 in Thailand.

The next big tournament is the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) in South Korea in September.

Before that the women's team will represent Viet Nam at the Asian Youth Volleyball Championships in Chinese Taipei, to be held between July 19 and 27.

After ASIAD, the junior team will take part in an international event to be held in Thailand between October 11 and 19.

They will also participate in different events such as the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup and the Southeast Asian Youth Volleyball Championships. Their schedules will be confirmed later.

The national teams will also compete in international and domestic tournaments which will be held locally, such as the VTV Binh Dien Cup, the Vietsov Petro Cup, the Lien Viet Bank Cup and the Dam Phu My Super Cup. — VNS
