BA RIA-VUNG TAU (VNS)— The Viet Nam Kite Festival 2012 was held yesterday in Vung Tau city in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
One hundred artisans from 13 local clubs from different cities including Ha Noi, Hue, HCM City, Nam Dinh participated in the festival. They flew their kite 1 km along the East Sea Tourism Complex.
According to Quan Cao Hang, deputy chief of the organising committee of the festival, this is the first time the country organises a professional kite flying festival that encourages artisans to try their best to decorate their kite with all inspiration and creativity. — VNS
