Second-seed Jose Statham, from New Zealand won the F1 Men's Futures tennis tournament in HCM City after fifth-seed Nick Lindahl of Australia retired sick in the final yesterday.
Statham was leading 5-2 in the first set when Lindahl withdrew from the match.
In the doubles final, Indian duo Sriram Bajali and Rohan Gajjar beat Australian Dane Propoggia and New Zealander Jose Statham 6-3, 6-4.
The F2 Futures will kick off today at the Hoang Thien Tennis Club.-VNS
