Some 520 youths, including 120 professional cyclists, took part in a ride from downtown HCM City to the Sac River in Can Gio District last Saturday as part of a campaign to protect the mangrove swamps there and introduce the enlarged jungles.

Participants visited tourist attractions in the coastal district and joined in various environmental activities like planting trees and collecting garbage from the beach before heading back to the city on Sunday. — VNS
