Several music and dance performances will be held in
HCM City to celebrate National Theatre Day, the 12th day of the eighth
lunar month [which falls on Thursday this year].
Up to 23 traditional operas of noted author Tong
Phuoc Pho will be staged at a festival in the central city of Da Nang
between September 24 and October 4.
L''Espace will stage a cheo (traditional opera) performance entitled To
Nu Dan Ca (literally means "the young ladies sing folk songs") from 8pm
this Saturday.
A new show combining Cheo (traditional opera) and Water Puppetry is
currently being staged daily between 5.30 and 6.30pm at the Ha Noi Cheo
Theatre, 15 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street.
Eight theatres have registered to join the first Ha
Noi Theatre Festival, to be held between September 25 and October 5. The
