The curtain closed on the eighth ASEAN Para Games (APG) with a
spectacular ceremony at the Marina Bay Sands and the official handover
to the next host country, Malaysia.
Vietnamese athletes topped the ranking at the swimming event with six
gold medals and three Games records after the first day of the ASEAN
Para Games (APG) in Singapore.
Athletes who won medals in the recent Asian Games 17th
(ASIAD) and Asian Para Games (APG) in Incheon, South Korea were awarded
cash prizes totalling over VND1.3 billion (US$61,000) in Ha Noi on
Thursday.
