Belgian dancer and choreographer Karine Ponties
has returned to Ha Noi for the fifth contemporary dance festival "Europe

Contemporary dance Vong Phu Bien (Waiting for
Husband on the Shore) by choreographers and brothers Nguyen Phuc Hai and
Nguyen Phuc Hung will premiere at the HCM City Opera House on Thursday.
The fourth international festival, Europe Meets Asia in Contemporary
Dance, will be held from September 24-28 at the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre
in Ha Noi.
The British contemporary dance company Candoco will make its debut
performance in Ha Noi on Sunday night to kick off the Great Week – which
aims to showcase the best of the UK in Viet Nam.
Two Spanish choreographers Elias Aguirre and Alvaro
Esteban of the EA&AE group will perform a contemporary dance piece
called Entomo (Insects) on April 8 in Ha Noi.
Audiences in Ha Noi will get a unique perspective of
a typical working day for Vietnamese farmers thanks to a contemporary
dance show due to make its debut on January 22.
The second Contemporary Dance Festival will take
place tonight and tomorrow night at the Youth Theatre in Ha Noi,
offering the public an occasion to enjoy original contemporary dance
pieces from Viet Nam, Belgium and Germany.
