An exhibition featuring 150 photos, documents and other items displayed
for the 40th anniversary of the central city''s Liberation Day – March
29 – opened yesterday at the Da Nang Museum.
The central city of Da Nang will host a photography
contest from January 27 to April 14, according to deputy director of the
city''s culture, sport and tourism department, Tran Chi Cuong.
A collection of 150 objects dating from the 15th
through to 17th centuries have been put on display at Da Nang Museum in
an exhibition that will last for two months
The Ha Noi-based Viet Nam National Museum of
History and the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculptures will exchange
artefacts to enhance their collections, according to Da Nang City
People''s Committee.
The Da Nang Museum received a 170-year-old royal
decree nominating a mandarin to lead troops to defend the city''s Dien
Hai Citadel during the reign of King Minh Mang.
