The HCM City Tourism Association has kicked off the
domestic tourism promotion programme, with the participation of Vietnam
Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific and Sai Gon Railway Company, to
offer attractive discounts for ticket fares.
The Cam Ranh International Airport saw a total of
2.7 million passengers from the beginning of this year, an increase of
20 per cent year-on-year. Around 880,000 of them were foreigners, up by
32 per cent.
More than 35,600 passengers bought budget tours in
the third quarter, taking the number during the year to over 100,000,
almost double the previous year''s.
National carrier Vietnam Airlines and the National Sports Administration
yesterday held a farewell for the Vietnamese sports delegation taking
part in the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

air tickets for flights from HCM City to the provinces in the central

Association have announced that prices would fall again this year in
order to stimulate demand, according to Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon (Sai
Gon Economic Times) magazine.
Vietnam Airlines, along with Japan''s JTB and Travel
Cafe, has opened Cafe Viet Nam in Tokyo to promote the image and culture
of Viet Nam among Japanese and foreigners.
Around 300 guests - half of whom are representing
European travel and news agencies - will take part in a special event
exploring local tourism in Ha Long City between November 27 and 30.
Representatives from travel agencies in Hong Kong
will join familiarisation (FAM) trips at destinations in Da Nang and Ha
Noi on October 8-12, the central city''s tourism promotion centre said
earlier this week.
A 40 per cent discount on domestic fares by Vietnam
Airlines is expected to help members of the HCM City Tourism Association
arrange low-cost tours and boost domestic travel.
