Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem has entered the semi-final round
of the ongoing Millionaire Chess tournament in Las Vegas in the United
States.Liem drew with Filippino Wesley So, former champion, in the seventh match yesterday.
Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem finished fourth with six points at
the Spice Cup 2014, which concluded in Missouri in the United States
this morning (Ha Noi time).
Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem ranked second with four points at
the ongoing Spice Cup Open 2014 in Missouri in the United States after
winning the fourth and fifth round yesterday.
Vietnamese grandmaster Le Quang Liem will defend his title at the HD
Bank International Chess Championships 2014 in HCM City, slated to be
held on March 9-16.
Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem has slipped to
the 48th place in the latest world rankings in January, with an Elo
rating of 2,703, according to the World Chess Federation.
Vietnamese international grandmaster Le Quang Liem became the first
Vietnamese chess player to take the Blitz title at the World Blitz and
Rapid Chess Championships which concluded in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, on
Monday.
