More than 50 Vietnamese and foreign circus artists will entertain audiences in HCM City with an extravagant gala to celebrate International Women''s Day on March 8.
Five circus acts were awarded gold medals and eight
acts received silver medals, among performances by more than 200 circus
artists from Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia at a festival that ended here
on Saturday.
Artists of the Southern Arts Theatre received bronze medals for their
performance at the international circus festival in Mongolia, Director
of the theatre Nguyen Duc The said.
A free new music programme at theatres, parks,
universities, industrial parks and export processing zones in HCM City
will be held regularly as part of the city''s cultural activities to
celebrate the country''s Reunification Day on April 30.
The H2H Charity Rides, a team of 20 motorcyclists slated to ride from Ha
Noi to HCM City to support poor children, will present "The Rock &
Roll Circus" fundraising event at Cargo Bar on March 12.
More than 40 artists of the Viet Nam Circus Union next month will
travel to perform for about 10,000 people living in remote areas of
central provinces such as Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam and
Quang Ngai.
Two performances by Vietnamese artists have won the Silver Medal and the
Audience''s Choice award at the recent international Golden Circus in
Rome, Italy.
