Hue authorities have recognised a temple dedicated to local citizens and
soldiers who died fighting French colonialists in the former royal
capital as a cultural heritage site.
This year, the Cambodian people celebrate their 60th National Day as
well as the birthday of the Cambodia Kingdom''s royal army under the
bright leadership of King Norodom Sihanouk, who relentlessly struggled
against the French colonialists to gain independence (09-11-1953 –
09-11-2013).
Hundreds of pieces of military equipment belonging to Vietnamese
soldiers as well as photos depicting the war against invading French
colonialists and the American War have gone on display at the Museum of
Living History in Montreuil commune in Paris''s eastern suburbs.
