Tien Giang native Vo Van Hai has made three Viet Nam maps from soil he
collected at martyrs'' ceremonies to honour the fallen at Martyrs'' Day on
July 27.

sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago opened in the
central city of Da Nang on March 24.

Maps and research on Viet Nam''s sovereignty over the
Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos will be on
display at an exhibition entitled Paracels of Viet Nam-Historical
Evidence from April 29 to May 15.
The central city of Da Nang has just put on public
display a collection of documents, maps and research results on Viet
Nam''s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly)
archipelagos.
As many as 80 old maps published between 1826 and
1980, of which 10 indicated Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands and the Truong Sa
(Spratly) Islands belong to Viet Nam, will be handed over to Da Nang''s
Institute for Socio-Economic Development next month.
A set of books including maps which indicate Hainan
as China''s southernmost island was made public by the Viet Nam Buddhist
Sangha at the headquarters of the Giac Ngo (Enlightenment) newspaper in
HCM City yesterday.
