Singapore has pledged to take tough action against
fraud in sports. The move follows the arrest of four people over alleged
match-fixing charges three days ago, ahead of the opening of the 28th SEA Games on Thursday.
The Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising
Committee (SINGSOC) has launched the official music album for the 28th
Southeast Asian (SEA) Games to be held in Singapore from June 5 to 16.
Vinh Long Television and Kmedia are organising Cuoi Xuyen Viet
(TransViet Laugh 2015), the first Vietnamese reality-TV contest to find
talented comedians and comic actors.
The Japan Foundation started organising a jazz orchestra for young Asian
musicians, and will offer participants the opportunity to participate
in rehearsal camps in Tokyo and perform throughout Asia.
Nearly 1,000 athletes will race in the annual provincial marathon at
the city''s Sport Centre today, according to a statement from the race''s
organising committee.
The 28th SEA Games and the 8th ASEAN Para Games
will be held in June and December 2015, respectively, in Singapore,
during the island nation''s 50th anniversary year.
The official Viet Nam-France Year will be launched on April 9th, and
the two countries will celebrate their long and eventful relationship by
organising a wide range of public activities shedding light on their
shared history, heritage and traditions.
