The HBSO Symphony Orchestra will perform the Unfinished Symphony by
Austrian composer Franz Schubert under the baton of well-known conductor
Tran Vuong Thach at the HCM City Opera House on Saturday.
The 14th European Music Festival will begin on November 18 in Ha Noi and
HCM City, with performances by established artists from eight European
countries and a Vietnamese guest band.
The oratorio The Creation, written by Joseph Haydn, a prominent Austrian
composer of the 18th and early 19th century, will be performed at the
HCM City Opera House on May 8 and 9.
The Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra will
perform Mahler''s Seventh Symphony on Friday and Saturday at the Hanoi
Opera House. This will be the first time the symphony is performed in
the country.
An iconic painting, The Kiss, by Austrian Gustav
Klimt (1862-1918) can be seen all over Ha Noi on canvasses, lacquer
plates, boxes and coffee mugs, but not many people understand the author
and his place in the world of fine arts.
