On Sunday, Bookworm and Hanoi Cooking Centre will host an afternoon of
traditional music, calligraphy and zodiac animal painting in honour of
the Tet holiday.
The Bookworm will host a talk by Peter Zinoman on January 3, who is the translator and editor of the novel So Do (Dumb Luck) by famous Vietnamese critical writer Vu Trong Phung.
Following successful Cape Town, Johannesburg and London workshops over
the past two years, bestselling British author Albert Jack is hosting
another eight-week Writer Workshop between October and November in Ha
Noi.
A couple of years ago, the Bookworm''s manager Nguyen Kien started to
collect discarded ceramic bowls and plates made during and prior to the
1976-86 "Thoi ky bao cap" (Subsidy Era) period.
