The 28th Golden Racket International Table Tennis
Tournament is scheduled to kick off in HCM City''s Phan Dinh Phung
Gymnasium on July 17-20, the event''s organising board announced
yesterday.
Dinh Quang Linh took the gold medal after beating Le Tien Dat 4-1 in the
final of the Ha Noi Moi Newspaper Table Tennis Open at Ha Noi''s Trinh
Hoai Duc Gymnasium on Sunday.
Vietnamese athletes pocketed one silver and one bronze in the "Golden Racket" HCM City international table tennis tournament, which concluded on Saturday.
The Vietnamese table tennis team will take part in
the Asian zone qualifying round for the 2012 London Olympics, which
begin next Thursday in Hong Kong.
