Archaeologists
have just announced that the bronze drum found at a construction site in
Baucau, in the east of Timor-Leste, was typical of the Dong Son civilisation
(1,000BC-100AD).
The treasures of the Dong Son Civilisation are on display at the Department of Museums, Malaysia.The
display features about 100 exhibits, photographs, and documentaries
belonging to the Viet Nam National History Museum and the Malaysian
department.
Metalworkers recently cast the world''s biggest
bronze drum at the private workshop of artisan Le Van Bay in the central
province of Thanh Hoa''s Thieu Hoa District.
Thousands of objects from the Bronze Age''s Dong Son
civilisation to the Nguyen dynasty are on display at the Gymnasium in
the northern province of Ninh Binh through late April.
