after the Viet Nam Football Federation decided not to extend their
contract with Japanese coach Norimatsu Takashi.
The Viet Nam Football Federation received two awards from the Asian
Football Confederation (AFC) on their annual Award Night on Sunday in
New Delhi, India.
The friendly match, which was scheduled for
November 12 in Ha Noi between the Viet Nam national football team and
Kuwait, has beencancelled, according to the Viet Nam Football Federation.
The Asian Football Confederation opened a
professional football coaching course for trainees from Viet Nam, the
Philippines and Malaysia in Ha Noi on Wednesday.
The Football for All in Viet Nam (FFAV) has won the
AFC Dream Asia award in the non-governmental organisation category as
the best NGO working in the football field in Asia.
Japanese trainer Masakuni Yamamoto praised the
little participants of the three-week training course of the Yamaha
Motor Vietnam''s For the Future of Viet Nam Football programme.
Along with bringing home the bronze medal from the
28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore, U23 Viet Nam''s football team
will also receive a reward of VND3 billion (US$142,000).

Programme yesterday ed 150 young players in Ha Noi who will take
part in a three-week training session with Japanese and Vietnamese
coaches beginning next week.
