HA NOI — The last art auction of 2016 will take place on Christmas Eve at Ha Noi’s Apricot hotel on Hang Trong Street.
Themed Christmas Reunion, the auction has been jointly organised by two auction houses, Lac Viet Exhibition and Auction Centre and Vietnam Crocodile, and Gallery 39.
The works of art that will go up for auction are of high value, in terms of collection and investment, and includes paintings by renowned Vietnamese painters such as Bui Xuan Phai’s (1920-1988) Gia Dinh Hoa Si Duoi Ham Tru An (Painter’s Family in Shelter), and 14th century bronze and pottery items. The origins and values of all the artworks have been verified by artist Le Thiet Cuong and other top Vietnamese antique experts.
The event will be a good opportunity for art lovers and visitors who want to see some unique works of art from Viet Nam. — VNS
