HCM CITY — A three-day music gala called HOZO Super Fest 2024 will open on Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street in HCM City on December 13.
The event is part of the 2024 Hò Dô (HOZO) International Music Festival in the city from October 25 to December 15.
It will attract 250 singers, musicians, and dancers from Việt Nam and different countries, such as Thailand, Japan, Korea, the US and Indonesia.
Music bands will include Psychic Fever of Japan, Nfamady of Wales, The Big Day of Scotland, and Hoài Sa Band of Việt Nam.
Korean rock bands Can't Be Blue and Simile Land will also be featured.

One of the event’s featured artists is Henry Lau, a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer.
Henry debuted in 2008 as a member of Super Junior-M, a very popular Korean idol pop band managed by SM Entertainment, and launched his solo career in 2013.
He made his Hollywood debut in 2019 with the film A Dog’s Journey produced by Amblin Entertainment.
He is also known for his performance in two TV programmes titled Real Man and I Live Alone, winning the Best Newcomer Award in 2014 and Excellence in Male Award in 2017 at the MBC Entertainment Awards by Korean-based Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation Television.

Vietnamese singer Mỹ Tâm, known as the 'Queen of Pop', will also appear. She sings in Vietnamese and English, and works as a songwriter and music producer.
She was selected for the list "Global Pop Sensations You’ve Never Heard Of" by ABC News in the US in 2010.
She received the Best Asian Artist prize at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong from the Korean-based Mnet Television in 2012, and the Best Southeast Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2013.
“Our festival’s theme is ‘One World, One Beat’. We hope our music will connect people,” said the festival’s general art director Huy Tuấn.
HOZO Super Fest 2024 is organised by the HCM City Centre of Light Music in co-operation with Beyond Communication.
The three-day event will be free of charge to serve residents and international tourists in the city.– VNS
