Ha Noi — A delegation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) led by Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the WPK Ri Su-yong arrived for a luncheon at Ngon Garden Restaurant in downtown Ha Noi yesterday.

Hyon Song-wol, who is a renowned singer from the DPRK, was among the delegation.
The delegation was in Viet Nam for the DPRK-US summit.
The delegation were impressed by the restaurant’s beautiful views and traditional dishes such as goi cuon tom thit (rolled shrimp and pork salad ), che to yen chung (birds’ nest soup) ca lang nuong (grilled lang fish ) banh xeo (sizzling crepe) and many others.

The guests said Ngon Garden was an ambassador for Vietnamese cuisine.
They said they would return to the restaurant next time.

Restaurant owner Pham Bich Hanh presented a painting titled Thanh Co Loa (Co Loa Citadel) as a gift to the delegation.
“We are very honoured and happy to welcome the DPRK delegation to Ngon Garden,” Hanh said, adding that she hoped the delegation enjoyed the dishes. — VNS
