Hà Nội People's Committee has assigned tasks to departments, branches and localities to direct the City Police and the Command of Capital Hà Nội to develop a plan to ensure absolute security and safety for the audience.
The show will have about 36,000 spectators on the first night, and 31,000 on July 30.
BLACKPINK is one of the most famous Korean girl groups loved by young people from around the world.
The BLACKPINK tour is visiting many countries around the world and once successfully held in Hà Nội, will contribute to enhancing the image of Hà Nội and Việt Nam as a safe and friendly destination to organise big events, promoting tourism to the country.
Social networks previously erupted with accusations that the organisers supported the "nine-dash line" map, causing outrage and leading some to wonder if the event would be cancelled.
iMe, the BLACKPINK tour organiser, is a multinational entertainment company established in 2006 with more than 11 offices across Asia, including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and the Philippines.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stepped in, asking relevant units to coordinate verification.
The BLACKPINK tour organiser apologised over the "nine-dash line" map, which Việt Nam considers to be an infringement of its territory and sovereignty in the East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea).
"We are aware of the need to respect the sovereignty and culture of all countries where iMe is present. iMe has quickly reviewed and committed to replacing inappropriate images for Vietnamese people," said Brian Chow, CEO of iMe. — VNS.
