HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for those participating in the Việt Nam Days Abroad 2022 to strictly adhere to the coordination and operation mechanism to prevent mishaps overseas.
This declaration came after several scandals involving Vietnamese performers in other countries.
Trần Quốc Khánh, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy & UNESCO Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, believes that problems can be found in even the most well-designed programmes.
In light of this, the organising committee has chosen recognised and qualified implementation partners to ensure that they maintain their reputations while overseas.
"We work based on a mechanism for tight collaboration and operation. Each programme has a coordinator and an executive director. Each unit is given a function, a task, and a defined duty commitment," he told e-newspaper Dân Trí.
Khánh added: "Fortunately, there have been no unpleasant situations relating to personnel travelling abroad as part of the programmes we undertake."
Trần Thanh Tùng, a representative of the unit conducting the art programme of this year's Việt Nam Day Abroad, stated that the Department of Cultural Diplomacy & UNESCO is ensuring the success of the performance.
"We prefer to partner with seasoned artists with knowledge and experience in touring and organising events for travel abroad. I believe that the close coordination of the participants will ensure the quality of art performance, the programme's content, and the artists' cultural behaviour when they go abroad," he said.
