HCM CITY - Thousands of HCM City locals were out on Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street on the evening of October 31 to celebrate Halloween.
According to Thanh Niên (Young People) newspaper, Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street in District 1 was bustling with people in eye-catching Halloween costumes starting at 6pm.
Characters such as those in The Squid Game, Joker and Spiderman, among other popular TV series and movies, were mostly chosen for the Halloween night.

Parents brought their children to catch a breath of fresh after days of lockdown. Teenagers made up a significant number of visitors as well.
Phạm Xuân Hiền, a resident in District 3, took his 9-year-old son Phạm Xuân Tài to Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street very early.
“We felt happy and refreshed! It has been such a long time at home and it was stressful. I hope the pandemic will be over soon so that life will return to normal,” he said.
Many parents shared the same joy. However, since children have not been vaccinated yet, they were careful in implementing 5K and limiting contact of their children with others.
Halloween on October 31 has long been popular with youth. Every year, people gather on Bùi Viện Street in District 1, but due to the impact of COVID-19, Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street has become “the spot” to be. VNS
