HCM CITY — An exhibition honouring the contributions of Vietnamese heroines in the South was held on Tuesday (June 20) in HCM City’s Southern Women Museum to celebrate the 70th War Invalids and Martyrs Day, which falls on July 27.

Claudia Liliana Zambrano Naranjo, Columbia’s representative in Viet Nam, together with authorities from neighbouring provinces, participated in the opening ceremony.

The exhibition features 255 portraits of heroines of the Viet Nam People’s Armed Forces in the South, whose contributions were officially recognised in March.

Heroine Le Thi Thu Nguyet, said that the event, which was organised by the city’s Department of Culture and Information, had brought back many great memories that could encourage younger generations to strive for a better future. — VNS
