HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội served over 14 million holidaymakers in the first half of 2024, including 3.14 international tourists, up 13.7 per cent and 52.6 per cent compared to the same period last year, respectively.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, total revenue from tourism activities in the period was estimated at over 55.38 trillion VNĐ (US$2.17 billion), marking a year-on-year increase of 22.8 per cent.
The capital city welcomed 2 million domestic tourists and 496,000 foreign visitors in June alone, up 12.5 per cent and 55.9 per cent year-on-year, respectively, raking in a combined revenue of 9.53 trillion VNĐ.
Last month, the average hotel room occupancy rate reached 66 per cent, 1.3 per cent higher than the figure in May, and up 0.1 per cent compared to the same period in 2023. — VNA/VNS
