HÀ NỘI — The 2023 Proud of Vietnamese Agricultural Products will be held in late December in Hà Nội, aiming to popularise national products and affirm their quality to a wide community.
The event is jointly held by the Hà Nội Promotion Agency on Investment, Trade and Tourism (HPA) and Long Biên District People's Committee at the Long Biên Park on December 28-31.
According to organisers, the programme aimed to implement and concretise cooperation projects of Hà Nội and cities and provinces nationwide in the spirit of "Hà Nội for the whole country, the whole country for Hà Nội"; Hà Nội's plan on economic development of agricultural and rural tourism associated with building new rural areas in the city in the 2022-25 period; and a practical celebration to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Long Biên District.
It is a place to connect and support businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP enterprises providing products related to agriculture.
At the same time, the programme will help enterprises popularise and find output partners and expand the distribution system for their products, access and update information about the market, services, and policies related to agricultural and rural development of the local and international localities. It will also stimulate demands of using and developing agricultural production at the end of the year and welcome the Year of the Dragon, pushing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods".

An HPA representative said that the Proud of Vietnamese Agricultural Products had been well prepared, selecting typical products, regional specialties, and best-known products of all participating localities with a view to creating a strong impression to enterprises, organisation and visitors.
Products with export potential and beautiful packaging designs will be picked to take part in the event. Booths will be beautifully and neatly decorated and all products displayed and sold must have selling prices, labels, packaging, and clear traceability.
In addition to the exhibition and fair, there will be other sideline activities during four days such as check-in promotional programmes, on-site product processing and product trial along with cultural exchanges and art performances.
Last year, the same event was organised at the Hoàn Kiếm Lake Pedestrian Area. Enterprises from 30 cities and provinces displayed more than 2,000 products in 140 booths, luring attention of thousands of visitors.
Speaking at the event, HPA Deputy Director Bùi Duy Quang affirmed that the event attracted many local people and tourists come and shop. Enterprises definitely found their opportunities to bring their products to wider community and promoted their brands to domestic and international markets. VNS
