About 150 kilometres from HCM City, Sa Dec Flower Village is now a hot spot for tourists and a must-visit spot for locals to buy flowers, especially in the lead-up to Tet. With 20 ha of flowers, Sa Dec is one of the biggest flower providers in the south, delivering different types of flowers for many regions of Viet Nam, including HCM City, Can Tho, An Giang and central and northern provinces.
The village is known for ‘having four springs’ as locals grow flower all year round. The most popular flowers include chrysanthemum, rose, lisianthus, kalanchoe, sun flower and marigold. New types of flowers like petunia, forget me not, magnolia as well as pepino melon from South America have been also introduced.
The flower village expects to welcome an estimated one million visitors during the 2018 Vietnamese New Year. --- VNS
