HCM CITY — Fashion designer Henry KoF has opened the first showroom in Việt Nam at 1B Sương Nguyệt Ánh in HCM City’s District 1, promising to bring haute couture designs to customers.
The opening ceremony on Monday saw the participation of a number of famous actresses and models such as Thanh Thúy, Khánh Phương (second runner-up in Miss Sea Vietnam 2016), Misoa, Mid Nguyễn, Mỹ Duyên, Mộng Thường, and Ngọc Trúc.
Henry KoF, whose real name is Nguyễn Minh Hiếu, graduated from Nottingham Trent University in Florence, Italy majoring in fashion design and was one of 10 students who had beachwear collections selected for the Pitti Uomo fashion fair in Italy in 2017.
His collections were also shown in Munich, Germany and Cannes in France. His graduation collection of Militant was selected by Gucci in 2018.
He said he hoped to use what he learned in Italy and provide a breath of fresh air to the fashion industry in Việt Nam.
Also, at the event in HCM City, the designer introduced his LadyGirl collection. This was his third collection in Việt Nam after Timeline, which was shown in Florence and during the Milan Fashion Week 2019.
He also revealed his plan to open a HENRY KoF showroom in Florence, the capital of many global fashion brands. — VNS
