HA NOI — An annual event held by high school students aimed at promoting reading will launch this Sunday at 36 Ly Thai To Street, Ha Noi.

The event, named The Hidden Book, will ‘provide a great opportunity for book lovers and inspire the community to explore the striking nature of literature’.

The event is open to those aged 4 to 25. Festival-goers can buy books, participate in exciting outdoors games and visit a photo booth with art and designs.

“The event aims to cultivate the habit of reading among individuals through participating in enjoyable and informative activities,” said head of the organising team Nguyen Ngoc Ha.

Participants can also exchange their books with coupons, which then can be used to obtain other books, or partake in various activities.

The theme of this year’s event is Arabian Nights, a classic masterpiece that has been ‘engulfed in eastern culture that has constituted the childhood of many’.

Taking an ancient Persian market as its setting, The Hidden Book 2019 will become a place where book lovers can ‘adventure into the world of legendary fairy tale characters to unravel mysteries and values hidden behind every book’. — VNS
