HÀ NỘI — More scientific activities in culture will be held by Hồ Chí Minh Museum and Israeli Ben Gurion Heritage Institute in 2020-22, according to an agreement that was signed during a virtual ceremony that took place both in Việt Nam and Israel.

Attending the ceremony in Hà Nội were the director of Hồ Chí Minh Museum Vũ Mạnh Hà, the Ambassador of Israel to Việt Nam Nadav Eshcar and representatives of Việt Nam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the agreement, Hồ Chí Minh Museum and Ben Gurion Heritage Institute will co-ordinate to implement scientific and cultural projects in museum studies, exchange experience and hold exhibitions related to the life and career of President Hồ Chí Minh and Israeli first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion.

In 2021, two organisations will hold an exhibition in Ben Gurion Heritage Institute in Israel and another in Hồ Chí Minh Museum.

Director of Hồ Chí Minh Museum Vũ Mạnh Hà said the signing is an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the two museums, as well as the co-operation in science and culture between Việt Nam and Israel in general.

The director also said the agreement will deepen understanding about the two great leaders and the relations between the peoples of the two nations.

According to Ambassador Eshcar, the co-operation between the two museums in research, exhibition and exchange of knowledge and experience are invaluable, promoting the understanding of the public of the two countries about each other.

Attendees of the ceremony were also invited to join a virtual tour of the heritage of Prime Minister Gurion’s house in Israel conducted by the Ben Gurion Heritage Institute.

Ties between Việt Nam and Israel were established and developed by President Hồ Chí Minh and Israel's first Prime Minister Ben Gurion who met in Paris in 1946.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1993, the co-operation between Việt Nam and Israel has progressed in various fields, including culture. — VNS
