HA NOI (VNS) — Five circus acts were awarded gold medals and eight acts received silver medals, among performances by more than 200 circus artists from Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia at a festival that ended here on Saturday.
The gold medal winning acts included acrobatics performances by artists from the Laos National Circus Troupe, Viet Nam Circus and Variety Arts School. Also awarded was a martial arts show by the Cambodia National Circus Troupe.
The jury also presented awards to the best circus directors, trainers and promising young talents.
The festival was described as a useful platform for young entertainers to exchange ideas and find new ways of creating interesting circus acts to lure audiences.
The festival also sought to enhance the solidarity and friendship among the three countries. — VNS
