KUALA LUMPUR – Shathi School of Yoga from Malaysia won the first prize in the teams category, Yoga Sống Khỏe Hà Nội won the runner-up team title and Global Yoga Wellness Summit from Malaysia won the third prize.
Those are the final results from the International Yoga Star Championship hosted by Yoga Sống Khỏe (International Yoga Song Khoe Association) and Yoga Sports Foundation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 8.

The championship gathered around 100 participants including yoga masters and judges from Việt Nam, Malaysia, Singapore and India. Contestants performed in two categories, namely Yoga Asana and Yoga Flow.
“It’s a great honour for us to host the Yoga championship in Malaysia as the first association from Việt Nam,” said Vũ Hồng Yến, President of Yoga Song Khoe Association and head of the organising board. “We hope to bring the yoga passion of Vietnamese people to international friends to enhance people’s physical and spiritual health."
Yến said through the programme, the Yoga Sống Khỏe Association aims to develop Yoga tourism through mass performance of yoga at Malaysia's tourism hubs like the Petronas Twin Towers, Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Merdeka Square and Batu Caves.

Master Jeychandran AL Subramaniam, Team Manager for the Sakthi School of Yoga, said through the championship, the International Yoga Sống Khỏe Association has helped enhance the solidarity of country members in the International Yoga Alliance.
“I hope such yoga competitions will be organised annually in many countries in the world,” he said.
Adrian Suresh Anthony John, Certified Yoga Therapist and Consultant from Asia’s Award Innovative Yoga Master, said: “I believe that the friendship between Việt Nam and Malaysia has been tightened through the event.” VNS
