HA NOI — MGallery – a brand belonging to the world-leading travel and lifestyle group AccorHotels – has celebrated its 10th anniversary recently at Hotel de L’Opera Hanoi with a series of live orchestral performance and a traditional afternoon high tea as part of its M-Day festivities.
According to Patrick Basset, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels for Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia and the Maldives, the group opened its first MGallery hotel in Viet Nam in 2009.
“By the end of this year we will have a collection of six MGallery properties in the country, all with personalities as individual and inspiring as the destinations. In this short span of a decade, I believe we’ve succeeded in establishing the brand as one which promises a delightful and unique experience inspired by the local essence of the hotel,” he said.
The M-Day anniversary celebration also showcased the brand’s ‘Inspired by Her’ programme which highlights the distinctive needs of female travelers from sensorial mixology, artful stories, spa treatments and sauna sessions to yoga and fitness programmes – all dedicated to women.
In a recent in-depth study conducted by global marketing research company IPSOS on behalf of MGallery, 86 per cent of women surveyed (and 80 per cent of men) favoured a female-oriented hospitality programme within a hotel. 84 per cent of the nearly 3,000 women surveyed also revealed that they have the final say when it comes to determining where to stay.
“MGallery properties are singular boutique hotels and having a personal touch is something that defines us. By formalising these meaningful gestures, we are able to enrich the experience for all our guests.
“The M-Day celebration showcases the amenities, healthy gastronomy and special in-room touches that are inspired by the expectations of women travelers today,” said General Manager of Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi, MGallery, Tracey Oliver.
At Hotel de L’Opera Hanoi, the MGallery ‘Inspired by Her’ highlights include a pillow menu, book mark, elegant silk fan, tailored amenity list, special cocktail selection, and concierge list of recommendations curated for the female traveler.
In Viet Nam, the MGallery collection of boutique hotels includes La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc, Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi, Hotel Des Arts Saigon, Le Royal Hoi An, Legacy Yen Tu, Hotel de la Coupole Sapa (which will officially open in December) and Danang French Village, Bana Hill which is scheduled to open in 2020. – VNS
