HÀ NỘI — A Vietnamese photographer has won two awards, including a gold one, at the Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) 2020.
Photographer Phan Khánh won a gold award in the People/Culture category with her work entitled The Childrens Dancing With Gong and a silver one in Travel/Tourism category with Drying Fish.
The Childrens Dancing With Gong was taken on December 2, 2018, at a festival of the Jrai ethnic minority in the central province of Gia Lai and the latter was taken at Long Hải fish market in the central province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province on July 26, 2020.
Drying Fish by Phan Khánh won a silver award.
TIFA is a prestigious international photo contest, including nine categories of advertising, architecture, book, editorial, events, fine art, nature, people and science.
It aims to explore and reward talented photographers from around the globe and put them in touch with the artistic community in Tokyo, Japan. Photographers from all corners of the world are encouraged to enter their works.
Previously, Bùi Huy Trang, another Vietnamese photographer, also won the TIFA Gold Award in the Book category. VNS
