HÀ NỘI — Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs paid a visit to Sông Lam Nghệ An (SLNA) football club in the central province of Nghệ An on Tuesday.
Giggs is working as a director for the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talent (PVF) Football Training Centre in the northern province of Hưng Yên.
The Manchester United legend met with SLNA representatives and had an exchange with young footballers.
Giggs said he is glad to see that SLNA is working to develop football in the country, supplying many players for the senior national team.
The retired player, 45, also pledged to continue to support SLNA in their training and development with a particular focus on training and injury treatment facilities.
The Welsh star will next pay a visit to Hà Tĩnh Province as part of a PVF initiative to boost football development. — VNS
