HÀ NỘI — V.League 1 defending champions Hà Nội FC have extended the contract of their captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết until 2022.
The 28-year-old striker will receive a signing bonus of VNĐ9 billion (US$391,000) and earn VNĐ60 million ($2,600) per month.
Quyết joined Hà Nội from Viettel in 2011 and since then has 107 goals in all competitions for the club.
He has helped Hà Nội take five V.League 1 titles, two National Super Cups and one National Cup.
Quyết won the best player award of V.League 1 in 2018 and the Vietnamese Silver Ball award in 2014 and 2015.
At the AFF Suzuki Cup last year, he helped Việt Nam lift the trophy after 10 years of waiting.
Earlier, Hà Nội also handed big extensions to goalie Phí Minh Long and midfielder Phạm Đức Huy.
After the final round of AFC U23 Championship 2020 in Thailand next January, the capital club hope to sign a new contract with star midfielder Nguyễn Quang Hải.
Meanwhile, Hà Nội have said farewell to goalie Bùi Tiến Dũng, striker Ganiyu Oseni and naturalised Vietnamese player Hoàng Vũ Samson. — VNS
