HCM CITY — Hai Phuong Nam - Gia Dinh University lost their lead against Cao Bang in the final minutes of the National Futsal Championship on September 18.
They tied with Cao Bang 4-4 at Lanh Binh Thang Gymnasium in HCM City.
Hai Phuong Nam proved their power by taking a 3-0 lead in the first half, but Cao Bang took full advantage of their lack of focus in the second half to narrow the gap to 3-3.
With two minutes left, Dinh Van Toan restored the lead for Hai Phuong Nam, but goalie Mai Xuan Hiep’s mistake created a chance for Cao Bang’s Ngoc Linh to land the equalizer with only 10 seconds to go.
Hai Phuong Nam will next meet Thai Son Nam on September 22, while Cao Bang take on Sai Gon FC on September 21. — VNS
