BẠC LIÊU — HCM City defended their title at the National Volleyball Championship in the southern province of Bạc Liêu on Sunday.
The team defeated Sanest Khánh Hòa 3-0 (18/25, 22/25, 18/25) in the final.
With a good line-up, HCM City players put the pressure on Sanest Khánh Hòa and easily beat their rival.
For his outstanding performance, Nguyễn Văn Hạnh of HCM City won the best spiker award. While the best defender award went to Nguyễn Văn Sang of HCM City.
On the women’s side, LienVietPostBank came from behind to beat Vietinbank 3-1 to take the title after three years.
LienVietPostBank’s Hoàng Thị Kiều Trinh and Âu Hồng Nhung received the awards for best spiker and best defender, respectively.
This year, the event saw two teams relegated including the Bến Tre male team and the Thái Bình female squad. — VNS
