HA NOI — HCM City bagged four more gold medals in the fourth day of competition at the National Youth Swimming Championship in HCM City yesterday.
The team has won a total of 28 golds, 22 silvers and 12 bronzes to top the medal tally. National Defence Sports Centre 5 are second with 22 golds, 17 silvers and 10 bronzes, while Long An are third with 15 golds, 14 silvers and 14 bronzes.
Trinh Truong Vinh of HCM City took a gold medal in the boys 11 & under 100m backstroke category after clocking a time of 1:12.18. Vinh’s teammate, Pham Hong Gia Bao and Nguyen Phan Nhat Quang of Phu Nhuan District Sport Centre were the runners-up.
In the girls 18 and under category’s 100m backstroke, Nguyen Diep Phuong Tram of HCM City also seized a gold medal with a time of 1:05.92. Le Thi Loan of National Defence Sports Centre 5 and Hoang Thi Trang of Thanh Hoa got silver and bronze, respectively.
Earlier, Tram also won gold in the 50m backstroke with a time of 30.84secs.
In the boys 18 and over 100m backstroke, Tran Duy Khoi also won HCM City a gold with a time of 55.55secs.
