HÀ NỘI — Midfielder Trần Thị Thùy Trang of the national women’s football team has just confirmed that Lank FC invited her to Portugal to play football.
"No matter what my final decision is, this is the greatest honor in my life, I will always cherish it. I respect and thank Lank FC for their respect and belief they have for me,” Trang said.
It is known that Lank FC has been following Trang for a long time. The Portuguese team was impressed with the brave playing style of the 35-year-old midfielder.
Coach Mai Đức Chung said: "Trang has good tactical vision, plays smart football and especially still ensures physical strength despite her age."
FIFA is also impressed with Trang, it said: ”Trang has experience and leadership qualities, and is an inspirational character in matches with a competitive spirit and persistent effort. Trang's composure when holding the ball is the key to helping the Vietnamese women's team control the game better and relieve some pressure."
If Trang goes to Portugal, she will be able to play with striker Huỳnh Như and will have an opportunity for her to make a mark, becoming the second Vietnamese female player to play abroad.
Trang has 11 years of dedication to her club HCM City and the national team, she owns a collection of achievements with three SEA Games gold medals, three Southeast Asian championships and 10 titles of national championships and national cups.
