Loan seals stage wins, Miyoko leads tourney

HA NOI — Pham Hong Loan of Gach-Phan Bon Con Voi won the sixth stage of the Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Loan completed the 110km stage from Phan Rang-Thap Cham City of Ninh Thuan Province to Phan Thiet City of Binh Thuan Province in a time of 2hr 52.38min.

She was followed by Nguyen Thi Thi of Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang and Potapova Faina of Kazakhstan.

The overall lead still belongs to Japanese Karami Miyoko with a total time of 14:43.23. Thailand’s Phetdarin Somrat and Natalya Sokovnina of Kazakhstan are close behind.

Nguyen Thi That of An Giang holds the green jersey with 87 points.

Miyoko is also queen of the mountains with 68 points.

In the team rankings, Biwase Binh Duong are on top. Thailand and Japan are second and third, respectively.

The seventh stage will be a 45km stage around Phan Thiet City. — VNS
