HÀ NỘI — Trần Ngọc Lượng will be the next Vietnamese martial artist to compete at the ONE Championship, the world largest mixed martial arts.
Lượng has recently signed a contract with the ONE Championship and he is expected to make his debut in June, while his rival's name has not yet been released.
Lượng is a familiar name in the national MMA community. After his controversial win over Robson Oliveira in the largest MMA series LION Championship 5, Lượng has proved his power with three impressive wins in subsequent events.
His remarkable achievement played key role pushing him to the ONE Championship, a dream competition of many fighters.
Lượng is currently training with HCM City's Saigon Sports Club, Shadow Entertainment which has hosted many pro martial art competitions including Muay Thai Rampage: Road To ONE.
Lượng will be the fifth Vietnamese to fight at the ONE Championship.
Trần Quang Lộc was the first one taking a win at the ONE Warriors Series and Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất recorded a KO win in his ONE Championship in Việt Nam in 2019.
Lương Thành Phúc also took part in the ONE in 2022, but he did not win.
