HÀ NỘI — Grandmaster Lê Tuấn Minh started 2024 in style with a victory at one of the most stacked Bullet Brawl arenas ever held.

It was an online tournament where titled players competed for a piece of the US$1,000 prize fund. Starting in July 2023, the event is an exciting new titled arena that features Chess.com's top bullet specialists and takes place every Saturday.

The first event of 2024 ended on January 7 which saw Minh in top place, leaving behind world No 3 Hikaru Nakamura and Daniel Naroditsky, both of the US.

Minh stood alone at the top with 193 points and won US$400 for his efforts.

Despite finishing in the top three in many Bullet Brawl arenas in 2023, this was Minh's first time claiming the title, and it took 58 wins, five draws, and 14 losses for him to reach the winning score.

International Master Polina Shuvalova of Russia netted the $100 top female player prize after scoring 94 points.
