HA NOI — Le Nguyet Minh of VUS-HCM City won the third stage of the Return to Truong Son Cycling Tournament yesterday.
With a strong sprint in last metres, Minh won the 145km stage from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh Province with a time of 3:47.49 and an everage speed of 42.402kmh.
Minh’s teammate Le Van Duan and Nguyen Tan Hoai of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap were the runners-up.
Minh also won the event’s green jersey as the best sprinter.
Although Nguyen Cuong Khang of the HCM City Youth squad didn’t rank in top three, he still holds the yellow jersey for the best overall time after three stages.
Today, 70 cyclists from 12 teams will compete in the fourth stage lasting 150km from Ha Tinh to Dong Hoi City. — VNS
