HA NOI — The National Top Wrestlers Tournament began yesterday in Tu Son Town, Bac Ninh Province.
The event attracted 46 leading Vietnamese wrestlers from teams across the country.
They will compete in a knock-out format in nine weight categories.
According to Nguyen Viet Hung, chairman of the National Traditional Wrestling Referee Council, Bac Ninh’s event is the top wrestling event of Viet Nam.
The three-day event, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Kinh Bac Traditional Wrestling Association, will conclude tomorrow. — VNS
