HA NOI — Ho Khac Ngoc’s goal has been voted the best in the Asian Football Confederation Cup’s first group match after a public vote amongst fans on AFC’s social media networks.
Ngoc of V.League club Song Lam Nghe An scored the second goal for the club in their 2-0 win over Tampines Rovers of Singapore in Group H on February 10.
Receiving a ball that bounced back after a mess in the box, Ngoc scored with a rocket from outside with just 20 minutes remaining and sealed three points for the visitors.
His goal received 1,515 votes, or 51 per cent of the total, leaving his rivals far behind.
OJ Porteria from Kaya of the Philippines came second with 805 votes, while Safaa Hadi of Iraq’s Al Zawraa came third with 403 votes.
Song Lam Nghe An will next host Johor Darul Tazim of Malaysia on February 28 at Ha Noi’s My Dinh Stadium. — VNS
