HA NOI — The Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents FC (PVF) won the National U15 Football Championship after beating Viettel 2-0 in the final match at Tay Ninh Stadium on Saturday.
PVF were the runners-up in the past three years.
The two sides played attack since the referee blew his whistle. However, Vo Nguyen Hoang opened the score for PVF in the 21st minute.
Only four minutes later, taking full advantage of Viettel’s defence line error, Trinh Van Chung doubled the score for PVF.
After the break, Viettel created many chances to score but failed.
Song Lam Nghe An and the hosts Tay Ninh shared third place.
The event’s organising board handed out awards to Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Viettel’s best player, as well as to Trinh Van Chung and Nguyen Tien Ba, PVF’s best players, and the the best goal keeper Tran Lam Hao of PVF. — VNS
