HA NOI — The Quang Ngai team won the BTV annual New Year marathon 2019, held yesterday at exhibition and convention centre, in the southern province of Binh Duong.
Binh Duong team and Ha Tinh team finished at second and third, respectively.
As many as 8,000 runners took part in the race.
Athletes competed in categories like girl’s 3km, boy’s 5km, men’s team 10km, group formation and others.
In the women’s race, the gold went to Khanh Hoa, while silver was won by Binh Phuoc and bronze went to Ninh Thuan.
In non-professional category, teams from Di An, Thuan An, Phu Giao and Dau Tieng gained high-achievement scores.
In the team rankings, Ngo Quyen Corps of Engineers University were top.
